CERTIFICATE OF FORMATION

Title 1, chapter 3, subchapter A, of the Texas Business Organizations Code governs the formation of a nonprofit corporation and sets forth the provisions required or permitted to be contained in the certificate of formation. Nonprofit corporations may be incorporated for any lawful purpose. Corporations formed for the purpose of operating a nonprofit institution, including an institution devoted to a charitable, benevolent, religious, patriotic, civic, cultural, missionary, education, scientific, social, fraternal, athletic, or aesthetic purpose, may be formed and governed only as a nonprofit corporation under the BOC and not as a for-profit corporation. In a nonprofit corporation, no part of the income of the corporation may be distributed to a member, director or officer of the corporation. See SRA Certificate of Formation 1959

SRA RULES

SRA Members have a responsibility to acknowledge and conform to the rules set forth in the application process and for the duration of membership.

 

Shoreacres Recreation Association Member Rules

•       Guests MUST BE accompanied by members at all times.

•       No unattended children under 12 years old on property after sunset.

•       Members MUST BE prepared to show their SRA issued key or

identification upon request.

•       No bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards are allowed on any pier

•       No cast nets allowed on property

•       All private belongings and trash must be removed when exiting the

area.

•       The pier gate and boat launch-gate must remain locked at all times.

•       Boats can only be moored to the small finger pier.

•       Parking lot is for members only.

•       No belligerent behavior, loud music or offensive conduct.

•       Be respectful.
